Firmware Development:

Landis+Gyr EMEA Devices team is seeking a Firmware Engineer. The Devices team, primarily working for the EMEA region, is made up of electrical and software engineers and is responsible for the electronics/SW/FW in our products. We support the development of new technologies and products and work closely with other global teams across Landis+Gyr.

As a Firmware Engineer for high-volume global smart energy solution devices, you should be capable of: -

• • • Develop, implement, debug, and maintain embedded real-time applications.
    • Responsible for the implementation of new device features on multiple platforms
    • Responsible for the maintenance of current software including feature enhancements, performance increases, troubleshooting, testing, and bug fixing.
    • Collaborate with multi-functional and local and global teams.
    • Improve quality, efficiency, and innovation drive in the team. Develop ways to improve technical methodology, processes, and products within the workgroup.
    • Collaborate with other teams for knowledge sharing and own initiatives for knowledge-sharing practices.

Job Requirements:

• Overall 1+ years of experience in the development of embedded systems
• Experience and hands-on coding experience in C++ (Preferably) and/or C for Embedded devices is a must.
• Experience in handling projects with 32-bit microcontrollers, (preferably ST and Renesas) is a must.
• Experience in bringing up MCU peripherals and working on memory-constrained Embedded devices is a must.
• Experience in working with RTOS will be preferred.
• Experience/ Knowledge of MCU communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, RS232, RS485 etc. is good to have.
• Experience/ Knowledge of communication technologies such as LTE, and 2G/3G is good to have and a big plus.
• Hands-on experience in various phases of the firmware development lifecycle preferably on energy devices including troubleshooting/debugging with tools like oscilloscope, and Logic Analyzer is important.
• Developing technical specifications, Proof of Concepts, evaluating prototypes and making recommendations, and driving code reviews are part of the job responsibility.
• Experience in SCRUM Agile Process, TFS, Azure DevOps, Git, and Gerrit is a big plus.
