Introduction

What personal data is being collected?
The following is a list of the categories of personal data relating to you that could be held by the Company, subject to local law requirements or restrictions:
- name; gender; address and contact details;
- education history; language skills; work authorization;
- CV/résumé; cover letter and related information contained therein including businesses you have worked for, including job title, organization name, salary or wage rate, work location and period,
- interview notes;
- professional references; certifications, licenses, and professional memberships;
- notice period;
- salary and wage expectations;
- race and ethnicity data and veteran status (both of which are applicable for US candidates only);
- criminal history (only where permitted by local law and required for the position).

How does the Company collect and process the personal data?
As part of its global business, the Company collects your personal data to:
- process your application as part of the recruitment and hiring process; and
- to allow you to use the Company Career Site
The Company collects and processes your personal data on a centralized basis and shares information with other Company entities for the purposes of human resources and personnel management (i.e. activities to maintain a workforce for the Company, including recruiting and complying with applicable legal requirements),
What sensitive personal data is collected about me?
The Company will only collect and process sensitive personal data as may be required by local law as part of a regulatory obligation (e.g. race/ethnicity in the case of the US, occupational health data…).
The Company does not proactively request to collect sensitive personal data unless there is a specific regulatory obligation or business imperative to do so.
Any such collection of sensitive personal data is subject to requirements of applicable data protection law.
Where is my personal data transferred?
The Company may need to make your personal data available to other Company entities and to selected external third parties performing services at the request of the Company, including external recruitment agencies. Such entities and third parties may be located in countries that may not have the same data protection rules as your home country.
It is for this reason that the Company has adopted Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC), or the equivalent according to applicable data protection law, to ensure an adequate protection of personal data processed by the Company in the event of cross-border data transfers. The Company also adopts supplemental measures as may be necessary as part of data transfer adequacy assessments. The Company requires its third-parties who may process personal data to guarantee the same level of protection as the Company based on applicable data protection law requirements.
The Company may also share your personal data with government authorities, as required by law.
Collection and processing of family member, emergency contact(s), and professional reference data
The Company collects and processes data relating to your professional references (name, phone number, email address, or written reference). This data is collected solely for recruitment purposes, specifically for the verification of professional skills, experience, and education. Where necessary, and in the event that an offer has been extended and accepted, the Company may request personal data of family members for medical insurance or benefits purposes. In addition, the Company may request emergency contact information, which includes the name and contact details of a family member or someone who may be contacted in the event of an emergency. These data may be transferred outside your resident country as explained in the section above. Access to this information is strictly limited to those who have a need to know.
By providing your consent, you confirm: (a) that the relevant contact has been made aware of and agrees to the processing of their personal data as described herein, and (b) that you have informed the person of his/her right to request (through you or directly from the Company) a copy of the data being stored about him / her, to update and correct it, and, if desired, to subsequently withdraw their consent to store and process their personal data in Company systems.
What security measures are in place to protect my personal data?
The Company is committed to protecting your personal data. The Company Careers Site is protected by secure network architectures that contain firewalls and intrusion detection mechanisms. Access to personal data is limited to those individuals who need the data to perform their job duties, specifically those responsible for recruiting (e.g. Recruiting Team and HR team members managing recruitment as well as external recruitment agencies, where applicable). These parties have unique identifying codes and passwords that must be used to access the Company Careers Site.
How long will my personal data be retained?
Your personal data will be stored and retained for pre-determined time frames in accordance with local laws and regulations, and will be automatically deleted or anonymized from Company systems upon the expiration of those time frames.
The Company will purge or anonymize the data provided in your personal account on the Company Careers Site after one year of user inactivity. Please note that you may also, at any time, delete your data by logging into your account and deleting it in its entirety.
In some cases, we may have a legal obligation to retain personal data for longer periods, in which case we comply with such legal obligations that take precedent over our default retention schedules.
What are my rights regarding my personal data?
Your personal data will be collected directly from you, the data subject, when you create an account on the Company Careers Site, submit a job application, or interview with the Company. It is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the data you provide to the Company. We may also receive personal data from other sources, such as during references, background checks, or employment verifications, and from third party recruitment sources.
The collection and processing of your personal data is mandatory as part of your application for employment with the Company, and necessary to carry out recruitment activities, such as interviewing and reference verifications. If you do not wish to share your personal data with the Company, do not proceed further with your application. If you proceed with the application, but thereafter wish to withdraw your application and the data elements provided during the process, you may do so by logging into the Recruitment System and deleting your account.
You may enquire in accordance with local applicable law as to the nature of the personal data stored or processed about you by the Company. Further, and depending on your jurisdiction, you are entitled to access your personal data and to request appropriate rectification, erasure or blocking of your personal data if processing is not in compliance with applicable law, or if your personal data is incomplete or inaccurate. In certain jurisdictions you also have the right to provide instructions how your personal data will be used posthumously.
