This role is part of Landis+Gyr’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) business, which is expected to become an independent company under new ownership by mid-2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals. MISSIONS ENTRUSTED :

As an HW Architect, you are the technical referent and guarantor of the material architecture. Your missions cover the entire product life cycle:

1. Defining the Hardware Architecture

• Define the overall HW architecture of the products (subsystems, functional blocks, interfaces).
• Select and justify key technologies and structuring components.
• Guarantee the consistency of HW choices with the objectives of performance, consumption, cost, reliability and robustness.

2. Justification et documentation d’architecture

• Write and maintain HW architecture design and justification documents.
• Demonstrate compliance with the criteria of maintainability, safety, availability and field life (≥ 20 years) in accordance with customer requirements.
• Demonstrate product compliance with standards.
• Contribute to the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the equipment.

1. Coordination HW / FW / Système

• Work closely with:

Architects and embedded software teams,

validation / qualification,

industrialization.

• Define and validate HW/fW Interfaces.
• Ensure that the HW architecture allows for future software and regulatory developments.

2. Technical Support and Governance

• Provide expert support during the integration, anomaly analysis and qualification phases.
• Participate in architectural reviews and HW technical committees with the client and the group.
• Contribute to technical capitalization and HW architecture standards.
• Work regularly with the other HW development teams in the group
• Report on the progress of his/her work and write a report

TRAINING:

Bac +5 (engineering school or equivalent) in electronics

EXPERIENCE :

Proven experience (8–10+ years) in HW design.

Proven experience in the role of architect or HW technical referent.

Industrial context subject to high requirements (quality, standards) appreciated.

COMPETENCES CLES :

Hardware architecture of embedded systems.

Digital/analog electronics, power supply, communication interfaces.

Ability to justify technical choices and write structured architecture documentation.

System vision and HW/FW dialogue capability.

Written and oral technical English required.
