This role is part of Landis+Gyr’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) business, which is expected to become an independent company under new ownership by mid-2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals. We are looking for a new colleague to join us in Cham, Switzerland, as Purchasing Specialist.

Your profile: 

• 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with demand planning, order management, and supplier coordination (Distributors/ Original Equipment Manufacturer, Electronic Manufacturing Services partners).
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP (purchasing module) and strong MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) skills.
• Proven ability to work with global stakeholders, including internal sites, contract manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Fluency in English (written & spoken); additional languages are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in procurement, logistics, or SAP (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP) are an advantage.

Your activities:

• Demand Collection: Liaise with Landis+Gyr sites and Electronic Manufacturing Services to collect monthly demand for critical components.
• Demand Planning: Integrate global needs into a demand plan and hand over to Distributors/Original Equipment Manufacturer.
• Order Monitoring: Ensure timely order placement by Electronic Manufacturing Services to Distributors/ Original Equipment Manufacturer.
• Chip-Hub Management: Manage chip supply for Electronic Manufacturing Services partners, including forecasting, purchase order placement, stock management, and monitoring usage to avoid shortages or obsolescence.
• Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Foster and maintain strong Relationship Management with Landis+Gyr sites, Electronic Manufacturing Services, Distributors, and Original Equipment Manufacturer.
• SAP Usage: Utilize SAP purchase module.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
